Prince George celebrates 11th birthday with Taylor Swift-inspired bracelet

Prince George's personal style shines through in his new birthday portrait, taken by his mother, Kate Middleton. 

The second in line to the throne celebrates his 11th birthday on 22 July, and Princess Kate and Prince William have continued their tradition by releasing a new photo of their eldest son. The black-and-white snapshot features Prince George in a dark blazer and trousers, a white shirt, and a string bracelet reminiscent of the friendship bracelet trend among Taylor Swift fans.

Last month, Prince William celebrated his 42nd birthday by taking Prince George and Princess Charlotte, 9, to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London. They had the opportunity to meet the superstar and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The royal family's rare selfies with Swift, shared on Instagram, captured the children's beaming smiles. A few weeks later, George and Charlotte were spotted wearing string bracelets.

Friendship bracelets have become a pop culture phenomenon during Swift's global Eras Tour, inspired by lyrics from her 2022 album Midnights. Recently, George and Charlotte were seen wearing string bracelets during outings with their parents. Last Sunday, Prince George and Prince William attended the UEFA European Championship in Germany, where George's multicoloured string bracelet was visible as they cheered on England against Spain.
