Nico Rosberg trolls Max Verstappen over Lewis Hamilton Hungarian GP clash

Nico Rosberg has taken a dig at Max Verstappen following the Dutch driver's collision with Lewis Hamilton during the Hungarian Grand Prix. The incident occurred on lap 63 when Verstappen attempted to overtake Hamilton on the inside line of Turn One but locked up his front tires, causing contact that briefly lifted the Red Bull into the air.

While both drivers were able to continue, Verstappen expressed his frustration over the team radio, blaming Hamilton for the crash. However, Rosberg, Verstappen’s former teammate, sarcastically suggested that Verstappen should have realized it was a corner. Speaking on Sky F1, Rosberg said, “Frustration is starting to boil over, which we as spectators quite enjoy watching honestly, it’s a change from the Red Bull dominance, isn’t it?”

Rosberg added, “But I’m assuming here that maybe Max hasn’t seen it yet on a TV, otherwise, someone needs to tell him that was actually a corner, which is why Lewis was turning in.”

Despite expectations, neither Verstappen nor Hamilton faced penalties from the stewards for the incident. Verstappen continued to blame Hamilton in his post-race comments, stating, “I went for a move that was fully on. But then in the middle of the braking zone, when I’m already committed to the move, he suddenly just keeps warping right... I lock up, because he just keeps on turning to the right.”

Hamilton, on the other hand, described the collision as a “racing incident” and suggested that Verstappen might have avoided the crash if he had been “under control.”

The clash and subsequent comments have added to the ongoing rivalry between Verstappen and Hamilton, drawing attention from fans and pundits alike.
