ISLAMABAD: The Skill Development Council (SDC) on Thursday announced a series of short courses for the next three months to equip participants with modern skills, a statement said. More than a dozen short training courses would be conducted, it said, adding that a majority of these courses would be held under the information technology and technical head while the rest of the courses would be organised under the head of management and soft skills. The subjects of the offered courses include professional accounting training, industrial automation using PLC, graphic, chip and multi-media designing and modern manufacturing techniques. A senior official at SDC said that in view of the current energy crisis in the country, the council would also conduct workshops on energy-efficient buildings.
