Pakistan's Nasir Iqbal has won the Tasmanian Open Squash Tournament in Australia, securing his third title in recent days.

Iqbal triumphed in the final against Switzerland's David Barnett, claiming a 3-1 victory. The final scoreline read 8-11, 10-12, 11-6, 5-11 in favour of Iqbal. This win follows his recent successes at the Bendigo and Shepparton Opens in Australia.

The game marked his third final in four tournaments on Australian soil. Iqbal demonstrated impressive form in the semi-final, where he defeated France’s Melvil Ciani-Menko with a decisive score of 4-11, 5-11, and 5-11.

The $9,000 Tasmanian Open has been a pivotal event for Nasir Iqbal, who has showcased remarkable consistency across the Australian squash circuit.

This year, he captured titles at both the Bendigo International and the Shepparton Open and advanced to the semi-final of the Victoria Open.

Iqbal's stellar performances in these tournaments have culminated in his success at the Tasmanian Open. In the upcoming final, he will face Switzerland’s David Barnett, aiming to add another prestigious title to his collection.

This accomplishment comes on the heels of his significant appearance in the final of the CNS Squash Championship in Karachi earlier this year.
