'Pray to be wealthy enough...': Naumaan Ijaz defends Ambani wedding extravaganza

Actor emphasized that it is Ambani family's money and they should be allowed to enjoy it

Veteran Pakistani actor Nauman Ijaz has delivered a sharp response to critics of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s extravagant wedding.

Naumaan Ijaz took to Instagram to defend Mukesh Ambani and his family. Posting a smiling picture of himself on his official Instagram handle, the actor addressed the detractors directly. “I don’t understand who these people are that are criticizing Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding,” Ijaz stated.

He urged people to stop criticizing the wedding, emphasizing that it is the Ambani family's money, their happiness, and their life, and they should be allowed to enjoy it.

Ijaz further advised critics to ignore the wedding if they cannot share in the Ambanis' joy. He stressed that giving opinions and criticism is not appropriate.

The actor also offered a piece of advice to the critics, suggesting, "Pray that one day you become wealthy enough to afford such a wedding."

The long-awaited wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Asia’s richest businessman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant concluded after seven months of celebrations, culminating on July 14 in Mumbai. The grand festivities saw the attendance of Bollywood stars, Indian cricketers, and influential figures from around the world. While the lavish wedding has been a hot topic on social media and international news outlets, it has also drawn criticism from numerous celebrities.

Critics argue that Mukesh Ambani’s ostentatious display of wealth is inappropriate, especially at a time when global poverty and hunger are on the rise.
