FRANKFURT:

Afghan nationals attacked the Pakistani consulate in Frankfurt, pelting it with stones and desecrating the Pakistani flag on Sunday.

Media reports indicate that the attack occurred during a protest by Afghan citizens.

Videos circulating on social media show the protesters storming the consulate, throwing stones, and removing the Pakistani flag.

Reports also suggest that the attackers attempted to burn the flag. German police have not made any arrests so far.

According to details, 8 to 10 Afghan nationals were involved in storming the Pakistani consulate and fled after taking down the Pakistani flag.

In a statement released by the Foreign Office, Pakistan expressed deep concern over the breach of security at its consulate, which endangered the lives of its diplomatic staff.
