Madonna's son David Banda giving guitar lessons and moves out of her $19 million home: "I love it"
Madonna’s son is developing skills to be independent.
David Banda openly admitted that he’s been “scavenging” for food around New York City since moving out of the pop star’s luxurious Upper East Side apartment.
On Instagram Live, he said, “It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging.”
“It’s fun to be young.”
At 18, Banda lives in the Bronx and has been giving guitar lessons to earn extra money, despite Madonna’s estimated net worth of $850 million.
“I love it. I’m not on my own, I’ve got my girlfriend,” he said, referring to Maria Atuesta. “But I love it.”
The teen also confirmed that the 65-year-old “A League of Their Own” actress has been seeing Jamaican-born footballer Akeem Morris following her breakup with Josh Popper.
The exact timing of Banda’s move out of Madonna’s house is unclear, but he was with her during her frightening health crisis last year when she was hospitalized in the ICU.
After her return home more than a week and a half later, the Queen of Pop expressed her gratitude for being alive following a serious bacterial infection.
Banda kept a close watch over his mother as he led her through the terminal illness before moving out.
