Li Jun Li joins Nicolas Cage in Marvel's 'Spider-Noir' series

Li Jun Li, known for her captivating performance in "Wu Assassins," is set to join the star-studded cast of Marvel's "Spider-Noir" series, which will air on MGM+ and Prime Video. She will portray a talented singer who graces the stage of New York's most prestigious nightclub during the 1930s.

Li will share the screen with Nicolas Cage, who takes on the lead role of an aging and disillusioned private investigator grappling with his past life as the city's sole superhero. The series, developed by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot alongside the creative team behind the acclaimed "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," promises a unique and thrilling take on the Marvel universe.

With Li's addition, the cast of "Spider-Noir" continues to take shape. Lamorne Morris has also been cast as Robbie Robertson, a long-time supporting character in Spider-Man stories. The series will be directed by Harry Bradbeer, known for his work on "Fleabag" and "Killing Eve," who will helm the first two episodes.

Li, who recently finished filming the female lead in Paramount Pictures' "Alma and the Wolf," is currently working on an untitled Ryan Coogler/Michael B. Jordan film for Warner Bros. Her previous work includes roles in Damien Chazelle's "Babylon" and recurring appearances in series like "Based On a True Story," "Florida Man," and "Sex/Life."

"Spider-Noir" is set to debut domestically on MGM+'s linear channel, followed by a global release on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories. Fans of Marvel and Li Jun Li can anticipate a thrilling and unique superhero story set in the heart of 1930s New York.
