PTI announces dual Independence Day rallies in Lahore and Islamabad
Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar has announced that the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will hold rallies in Lahore and Islamabad on August 14.
During a media briefing, Bhachar signaled supporters to come out on roads against inflation which had ruined the lives of the poor masses.
Labelling Punjab's Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz a "Tik Toker," he chalenged her assertion of staying in office for five years.
The PTI had earlier this month announce plans to stage a power show at Lahore's Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14.
The party has previously complained about local authorities denying a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the PTI for holding rallies.
'Sand dropping quickly through ruler’s palms'
Bhachar alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) manipulated Form 47 to secure their positions. He accused the PML-N of undermining public trust and attacking key institutions, citing attack against the Supreme Court.
Bachar claimed "irrelevant criticism by the PML-N’s leaders on judiciary reflects 'fear of the sand quickly dropping though their palms'."
"These depressed statements are proving their annoyance to those who brought them into power. What the courts should do when such forged cases will be registered and nothing will be proved against them," he added further saying that, "the uncle and his niece’s days have been counted."
