ISLAMABAD:

The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) on Friday called off its sit-in at Faizabad after the government assured it of ramping up efforts to help Palestinians, who have been facing Israeli atrocities since the clash began in October last year.

The TLP, in their demands, asked the government to officially boycott Israeli products and send food and medical aid to Palestinians, especially those suffering from Israel’s relentless military aggression in Gaza. One of their demands was that Pakistan’s government declare Israeli PM Netanyahu a “terrorist.”

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah announced that over 1,000 tons of food and relief supplies will be sent to Palestine before July 31.

Addressing a news conference along with Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar and TLP leaders, Sanaullah expressed solidarity with the Muslim community in Palestine.

Sanaullah also commended the TLP for their support and spirit of solidarity with Palestinian Muslims, acknowledging TLP leader Hafiz Saad Rizvi’s demands for aid and condemnation of Israel’s actions.
