Pindi police book rape, blackmailing suspects
Police have registered a case against two men for allegedly raping and blackmailing a girl for over one-and-a-half years, promising to marry her, within the limits of Mandra police station.
They added that the suspects also made obscene videos and photos to blackmail the girl. The police initiated the investigation following a complaint from the victim's mother, who alleged that the first accused, Haroon, had a sexual relationship with her daughter for a year, promising to marry her. Later, he had arguments with her, broke off the relationship and began blackmailing her with obscene videos and photos when she refused to reconcile.
Subsequently, the second accused, Siraj, allegedly raped her for six months under the same false promise of marriage. He also took her mobile phone and made obscene videos and photos. Siraj threatened her daughter with severe consequences through his Dubai-based friend, Arsalan. The accused even posted obscene videos and photos of the girl on the outer wall of a neighbour's house and distributed them to her friends and relatives, further ruining her life.
The police have registered a case based on the mothers complaint, including charges of rape, threats of murder, and other offences. The victim is undergoing a medical examination, and efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
