Court seeks reply from parties on occupation of land

KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court has ordered parties to submit a reply by August 1 on a petition against occupation of land of charitable organisation on the M-9 Motorway.

The counsel of the petitioner submitted that 167 acres of land was allotted on the M-9 Motorway for charitable purposes. Revenue department, officials and others want to occupy of this land. They want to change the status of the land by adopting delay tactics. They want to use bulldozers and use the land for their own purposes. The parties should be ordered to refrain from doing so.

After hearing the arguments by the counsel the court ordered the parties to submit their reply by August 1 and to maintain the status of the land.
