Terrorists gun down police constable

A policeman was fatally shot by unknown terrorists in the water pump area of the Central district. Before fleeing the scene, attackers also snatched his SMG rifle.

Muhammad Yusuf, a 25-year-old constable at Samanabad police station, was fatally shot by unknown terrorists while on his way to deposit his weapons at the police station after finishing his night duty.

Muhammad Hanif, the grief-stricken father of Yusuf, shared with Express that his son was a policeman since 3.5 years ago. He was unmarried and a resident of Manghopir. Funeral prayer was held at Garden Headquarters, and he was laid to rest in Manghopir Cemetery.

Home minister and city police chief attended the funeral.
