Five bodies recovered in search operation

NOORPUR THAL:

A search operation for the bodies of six children who drowned in the canal managed to retrieve five bodies after 72 hours. However, the search for one more is underway. Local divers in-cluding Rescue 1122, Pakistan Navy divers partici-pated in the operation.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Assistant Commis-sioner Haroon Akhtar, who has been supervising the ongoing operation, stated that “the rescue opera-tion was paused due to darkness but it will be re-sumed today”

Moreover, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought a report from district administration ex-pressing deep sorrow and grief over incident. The CM also issued orders to use all resources for the rescue operation.
