Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal welcome baby girl

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’s Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, known for his role in Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur, have stepped into a new chapter of their lives as the newest celebrity parents in Bollywood. The couple recently celebrated the arrival of their first child with a stunning maternity photoshoot, and now they have shared the wonderful news: they welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday.

According to Hindustan Times, the couple released a joint statement, expressing their delight: “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well wishers for their love and blessings!”

The maternity photoshoot captured the couple in black and white. In the photos, Richa and Ali are seen tenderly touching her baby bump. In one particularly image, Richa is lying down, leaning on Ali as they both appear lost in thoughtful reflection. Richa accompanied the photos with a heartfelt caption, “What can a love so pure bring forth into the world, but a beam of light? Thank you for being my partner on this incredible journey @alifazal9, through this lifetime and many more, through star lights and galaxies…”

Richa continued with a wish for their newborn, “May we bring forth a warrior of light, a child of compassion, empathy, healing and above all love.” She also included a Sanskrit verse, translated as, “That is infinite, and this (universe) is infinite. The infinite proceeds from the infinite. (Then) taking the infinitude of the infinite (universe), It remains as the infinite alone. Peace! Peace! Peace!”

In concluding her post, Richa explained why she had turned off the comments, stating, “Comments are off, because this is the most private thing I have posted.”

The love story of Richa and Ali began on the set of the film Fukrey. The couple’s romance blossomed into commitment, and they announced their intention to have an eco-friendly wedding ceremony in September 2022. They officially tied the knot on October 4, 2022, in Lucknow. Earlier this year, the duo shared the joyous news of Richa’s pregnancy in a post that read, “1+1=3.” The announcement was sweetly captioned, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.”
