Brittany Broski criticized over response to Tana Mongeau’s accusations against Cody Ko
Brittany Broski, a frequent collaborator with YouTuber Cody Ko, is facing significant backlash online following her response to allegations made by Tana Mongeau.
Mongeau claims she had a sexual relationship with Ko when she was 17 and he was 25. Broski addressed the situation in an Instagram story, but her comments have been poorly received on social media.
Mongeau has been vocal about these allegations since 2021. The claims gained renewed attention last week after YouTuber D’Angelo Wallace posted a video essay investigating the details. On her "Cancelled" podcast, Mongeau previously stated, “I hooked up with Cody Ko when I was 17 and he was 25. Yeah, it happened. At 25 now, I would never do anything like that, so I’m like, ‘What the f**k was wrong with you?’”
The controversy intensified, with fans pressuring Broski to comment, given her close association with Ko. Broski's response on Instagram, however, was met with criticism, with many feeling that her wording was dismissive and failed to address the seriousness of the allegations.

Brittany Broski, famous for her viral kombucha-tasting video on TikTok in 2019, is also a prominent figure in the YouTube community. The backlash against Broski underscores the challenges influencers face when addressing controversies involving their colleagues.
