KARACHI:
Another six dengue cases have been reported in Sindh of which four are from Karachi. The total number of cases in the province is 187 so far this year, said the special secretary for health, Dr Suresh Kumar. May or June till about mid-December is identified as dengue season, with a peak in October and special caution required after monsoon rains. Doctors warn that people should not be fooled into thinking precautions or preventative measures are not required. There is an estimated 70%chance that mosquitoes will attack inside the house. Wearing long sleeves, applying repellent on exposed skin and ensuring there is no standing water in or around the house are just some of the precautions one can take.
