Future drops unreleased 'Rotation' video for DS2 anniversary and hints at new music
Future marked the ninth anniversary of his acclaimed third solo album, ‘DS2’, by unveiling the unreleased video for “Rotation.”
The video, directed by Rich Nyce, showcases Future chilling at a local gas station with friends, sipping on dirty Sprites and rapping about “putting a famous b—h in rotation.”
In a celebratory caption, Future posted, “Unreleased, 9years later DS2 PLUTO back.”
The rapper has been teasing new music in mixtape form since May, following the release of his second No. 1 album of the year, “We Still Don’t Trust You”, with Metro Boomin. Fans initially speculated about a mixtape release when Future tweeted, “F—k yo album sh— ain’t slappin like my mixtape” and “May Tenth,” but these were actually related to a Tee Grizzley feature.
He later posted, “can’t sleep until it’s complete #MIXTAPEPLUTO,” fueling excitement for his upcoming project.
Future's potential mixtape could cap off a stellar year, highlighted by two No. 1 albums and a chart-topping single “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar.
This single also sparked a major feud within the rap industry, involving prominent figures like Drake, Metro Boomin, and The Weeknd.
