Who is Kai Trump? Get to know Donald Trump’s golfer granddaughter following her RNC 2024 speech

Donald Trump has 10 grandchildren, but only one spoke at the July 2024 Republican National Convention.

Donald Trump Jr.'s daughter, Kai, made headlines for her speech on the event's third night at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis.

The high schooler wore a white cutout dress with a bow and heels, styling her brown hair in curls.

In her speech, delivered four days after an assassination attempt on the former president, Kai praised her "normal" grandfather.

Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump welcomed Kai in May 2007, two years after their Mar-a-Lago wedding.

The couple split in 2018 and finalized their divorce in 2019.

The former "Apprentice" judge praised Kai on her 17th birthday in May 2024, calling her and Chloe the "most beautiful, smart, amazing young" women.

“I am obviously very objective in this assessment,” he joked via Instagram. “Kai you make me proud every day and are kicking ass in life. I love you so much.”

In her brief address, Kai spoke about “the side of [her] grandpa that people don’t often see.”

She joked that Trump gives her “candy and soda when [her] parents aren’t looking,” asks how she’s “doing in school” and brags about her grades to his friends.

“Even when he’s going through all these court cases, he always asks me how I’m doing,” she continued.

“He always encourages me to push myself to be the most successful person I can be. Obviously, he sets the bar pretty high. But who knows, maybe one day I’ll catch him.”

Kai concluded by expressing her "shocked" reaction to the "heartbreaking" news of Trump's shooting at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13, 2024.

“I just wanted to know if he was OK,” she told audience members.

“Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you,” Kai said before wrapping up with a call to “make America great again.”

Kai has a sister, Chloe, born in 2014, and three brothers.

Kai is a competitive golfer, evident from her @kaitrumpgolfer Instagram handle.

In March 2024, she won a ladies’ club championship at Trump’s golf course, bonding with her grandfather over the sport.

Kai hopes to continue her athletic career in college, graduating in 2026, as per her recruitment profile.

In her second year on the Benjamin School’s varsity team, she became captain.
