Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, LeBron James, Shaq support Team USA and Gin & Juice in London
Some of the most legendary names in hip-hop and basketball were in London simultaneously, making their convergence inevitable. Team USA is in town for a pre-Olympics exhibition against South Sudan on Saturday, while Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre were at the Gin & Juice Party on Thursday.
LeBron James took advantage of the opportunity and attended the Shepherd’s Bush event. Social media captured him enjoying his Olympic break.
The event was the launch party for Snoop and Dre’s new beverage line, inspired by their iconic 2004 hit "Gin & Juice." Eminem attended the Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace to support his friends, but no one anticipated that he would deliver an impromptu concert.
Shaquille O’Neal, who arrived in London without being noticed, took to the stage to introduce Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Eminem. Although DJ Diesel was not the opening act, both he and the audience were taken by surprise when Eminem performed a rare rendition of “Houdini” and his 1999 classic collaboration with Dre, “Forgot About Dre.”
As a well-known fan of all three artists, LeBron James made a brief detour from his preparations to visit the West London roller rink. He was spotted enjoying "Forgot About Dre," and his relaxed enjoyment of his favorite music mirrored his previous vibe at Kendrick Lamar’s Los Angeles showcase.
It’s unclear whether James met them backstage or after the party. Several photos of Slim Shady with the Gin & Juice moguls backstage emerged, capturing a moment of hip-hop bliss. However, the images were missing a touch of basketball greatness, specifically Bron and Shaq.
Shaq tours with Team USA
Shaquille O’Neal was another unexpected highlight. He was in Las Vegas for the first exhibition game where Team USA defeated Canada and later wrapped up the celebrations with a performance at Encore Beach Club. Joel Embiid not only attended the party but also joined DJ Diesel on stage.
O’Neal is currently touring with his own Summer of Bass tour while also supporting Team USA. It was clear he would join Snoop and Dre. Wearing a large necklace, Shaq energized the crowd by shouting, "Are you ready for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg?" just before the duo took the stage.
