Karachi embraces light showers amid record-breaking heat

More light drizzle expected this evening and night, with maximum temperature expected to reach 36°C

KARACHI:

After enduring two of the hottest nights on July 16 and July 17, the port city has finally received some relief with light drizzle.

Light showers were observed in several areas including Scheme 33, Sohrab Goth, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Saddar, Tower, and I.I. Chundrigar Road, making the weather pleasantly cooler, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The forecast indicates more light drizzle this evening and night, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 36°C.

The temperature today stands at 33°C, but due to 74% humidity, it feels like 38°C.

Winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 17 km/h. Over the next 24 hours, the weather in Karachi is expected to remain hot and humid, with the minimum temperature recorded at 30.5°C in the last 24 hours.
