Girl’s body dressed in school uniform found

The body of a young woman, dressed in a school uniform, was found in a garbage dump in Malir on Thursday.

As per details, the body was found near Khokhrapar No1, close to Shams Hotel within the jurisdiction of Khokhrapar police station.

Police secured the body and shifted it to Khokhrapar police station from where it was transported to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

Khokhrapar police station SHO, Adeel Ahmad Shah said that the deceased woman was wearing the uniform of a private school. Police reached out to a private school in Model Colony and gathered information from the administration. The school indicated that the uniform bore an old monogram that had been changed two years ago. The school administration also confirmed they had no records of the girl’s absence.

“Later the woman was identified as Faiza, who was divorced and a mother of two children. Her family told the police that she was a drug addict and was living with her father,” the SHO said.

He added that she might have found the school uniform in the garbage and wore. He said that no signs of violence were found on the body of the deceased.

The SHO said that the body appeared bloated, indicating it had been there for five to six days. The cause of death remains undetermined pending further investigation.
