Cricket: Coach not consulted over Shakib

Stuart Law admitted that the country’s cricket board had not consulted him.

DHAKA:
Bangladesh coach Stuart Law admitted that the country’s cricket board had not consulted him before stripping Shakibal Hasan of the captaincy. Shakib was sacked as captain while Tamim Iqbal was also removed as vice-captain following the team’s dismal tour of Zimbabwe. “It was a surprise, the board has made a decision not just based on events in Zimbabwe but, from what I understand, some other ongoing situations,” said Law who added that Shakib and Tamim had the support of their teammates.
