3 killed, five injured in firing incidents

JARANWALA:

Three people were killed and five others injured in in various incidents of firing in the Jaranwala area.

A case of disputes over canal water and other issues between Riaz Patwari and Rafique in Chak 102GB of Jardanwala was being heard in a court.

According to the police, Riaz's son Owais, Umar other men fired at their opponents. Sufyan, aged 28, died on the spot, while five other people were injured. They were shifted to a hospital by a rescue team.

The police also reached the spot, took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem.

Police official said they were conducting raids to arrest the attackers.

Regional Police Officer Dr Abid Khan sought a report from the CPO of Faisalabad and issued orders to form teams to arrest the attackers.

In another incident, in order to avenge an old grudge in Nawabanwala Sinwar Colony, Hamid Nawaz alias Kama, Tajammul and others shot and injured 30-year-old Vishaz Hussain.

A rescue team took him to a hospital, where he died.

Meanwhile, 60-year-old Nafer Ali died on the spot in an exchange of fire between two groups in the Saddar area.

Police handed over the bodies of all the three victims to the relatives after post-mortem and conducted raids to arrest the murderers.
