Minor allegedly molested in Karak

A child was sodomised in Karak district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. The father of the victim registered an FIR against the accused and the suspected child molester was arrested by the police within one hour of the registration of the case.

As per details, a local resident reported to the police that an accused had sexually assaulted his 9-year-old son. The District Police Officer of Karak, Khan Khel, directed the relevant police station to register a case and arrest the accused immediately.

Assistant Sub Inspector Farid Khan of Sabirabad police station raided the residence and arrested the accused after raiding different locations and recovered a pistol from his possession too.

The accused is a shopkeeper by profession and during initial integration he confessed to his heinous crime, stating that he had taken advantage of the opportunity when the child visited his shop in Sabirabad locality to buy something. The police sent the victim for a medical examination, which confirmed the sexual assault.

The DPO commended Farid Khan and his team for their prompt and successful action and announced appreciation certificates for them.
