Big Sean’s upcoming album, a 14-track version, was leaked online on 18th July, allegedly by a Kanye West fan in retaliation for a perceived diss in Sean's recent freestyle.
The controversy began on 17th July when Big Sean's "On the Radar" freestyle dropped, featuring the line, "I got better things to do than find someone to beef with." Some interpreted this as a shot at Kendrick Lamar. However, DJ Hed tweeted that Sean clarified the line was directed at a "different Gemini," leading to speculation it referred to Kanye West.
The tension between Sean and West has a history. In 2021, West claimed that signing Sean was "the worst thing I’ve ever done," straining their relationship. This rift seemingly deepened with the recent freestyle. On the web, a user named bigseandon811, claiming to act on West's behalf, leaked the album, writing, “Since he wanna disrespect Ye so much, here’s the album. F**k him and his whole team.”

The leaked album begins with the track "Nintendo Switch Superstar," featuring a sample of Willie Hutch’s “Mack’s Stroll (The Getaway)," previously used by Usher in 2004’s "Superstar." Nas appears on “Poor Sportsmanship,” Charlie Wilson on “BTC (Lift Them Boys Up),” and Brent Faiyaz seemingly features on “Raining P’s.” The album, not entirely finished, had empty spaces for potential verses.
Big Sean acknowledged the leak hours after it surfaced, writing on social media, "Might as well start droppin, before they leak it all, god damn," while teasing a new song produced by Alchemist. The album’s title remains unclear, with the leaker referring to it as "Feelings & Random Thots" and "Better Me Than You."

Social media erupted with reactions, some expressing shock at the alleged involvement of West, while others sympathised with Sean. “Big Sean can never win lol,” one user tweeted. Another commented on the unfortunate timing, noting Sean’s single “Precision” was overshadowed by the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, adding, "Kendrick and Drake stepped on his single and then he diss Kanye... one of his fans leak his album n**ga can’t win."
