Rebel Wilson, amidst a legal battle with producers of her directorial debut film 'The Deb,' has garnered significant support from the film's cast and crew.

The lawsuit, filed by producers Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron, and executive producer Vince Holden, alleges defamation after Wilson accused them of misconduct during production.

Members of 'The Deb' cast, including actor Max Ostler, have publicly backed Wilson, highlighting her gratitude and kindness towards the team. Ostler noted Wilson's personal gestures, such as personalized gifts and raffle prizes, which he described as demonstrations of her genuine character.

Shane Jacobson, another cast member, praised Wilson's support and collaboration on set, expressing willingness to work with her again.

Support for Wilson has extended beyond the set, with fans and colleagues voicing their solidarity on social media. One commenter, claiming to be a crew member, assured Wilson of their support amid the legal dispute.

The lawsuit revolves around Wilson's alleged demands for co-writing credit and rights to original music in 'The Deb.' According to court documents reviewed by PEOPLE, producers accused Wilson of seeking undeserved credit and undermining deserving artists.

Despite the legal turmoil, Wilson expressed gratitude after 'The Deb' was selected to close the Toronto International Film Festival in September. She thanked TIFF for recognizing her directorial effort, emphasizing the film's significance as her debut project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'The Deb' portrays the journey of Taylah Simpkins (Natalie Abbott), a farm girl and high school outsider, who sees the Debutante Ball as her chance for transformation.
