Recent economic disruptions, geopolitical transformations, and evolving security dynamics have intensified global uncertainty which raises questions about its impact on Pakistan given its strategic positioning in South Asia .

Hence,The Express Tribune and the Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI) are organising a webinar to delve into current trends in Asian geopolitics and their implications for Pakistan.

Experts will analyze the evolving landscape, offering insights into how these developments may impact Pakistan’s foreign policy, security strategies, economic prospects, and regional stability.

Moderated by Farwa Aamer, Director of South Asia Initiatives at ASPI, the panel will feature Rorry Daniels, Managing Director at ASPI, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, former Federal Minister of Information and Media Development of Pakistan, and Kamran Yousaf, Journalist and Host of The Review on Express News.

Speakers

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed served as Special Assistant to PM Nawaz Sharif, managing Foreign Affairs. A former journalist, he has been influential on international stages and has a Senate seat since 1997.

Rorry Daniels, Managing Director at ASPI, leads projects on Asian security, climate, and trade. A seasoned expert in US-China relations, she is a 2022 Mansfield-Luce scholar and proficient in Mandarin.

Kamran Yousaf, with over 20 years in journalism, focuses on defense and foreign affairs for The Express Tribune and co-hosts The Review on Express News.

Farwa Aamer directs South Asia Initiatives at ASPI, leading projects on regional cooperation and climate impact. She holds a BSc from UCL and a Masters in Management from BPP Business School.
