Angelina Jolie urges Brad Pitt to drop lawsuit and 'end the fighting' for family 'healing'

Angelina Jolie's legal team is urging Brad Pitt to withdraw his lawsuit over their co-owned French winery, aiming to “end the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing.”

Pitt, 60, sued Jolie, 49, in February 2022, alleging she breached their contract by selling her Chateau Miraval stake to a third party in October 2021 without his consent, aiming to "undermine [his] investment."

The ex-couple bought the winery in 2008 and married there six years later. After their 2016 split, they were declared single in 2019 and have since been entangled in legal battles over Chateau Miraval and child custody. They share six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

In April, Jolie's lawyers filed a motion regarding the vineyard, claiming Pitt wouldn't buy Jolie's shares unless she signed an NDA. They also alleged Pitt wanted the NDA to hide his "physical abuse" before the 2016 airplane incident that led to their divorce.

Pitt's lawyers denied the abuse allegations and argued Jolie's routine use of NDAs undermines her defense. They claimed Jolie's accusations about the NDA were to justify her "wrongful sale" of her Miraval stake. In May, a judge ordered Jolie to produce all NDAs she signed from 2014 to 2022.

Jolie was given 60 days to provide the necessary documents, and a source told Us that the ruling was a significant legal setback for her.

On Wednesday, July 17, her lawyer, Paul Murphy, issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight, accusing that Pitt “tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse.”
