JoJo Siwa fans turn ‘Guilty Pleasure’ dance into viral TikTok trend

JoJo Siwa's latest hit, ‘Guilty Pleasure,’ released on 12 July as part of her new five-song EP, has sparked a viral TikTok trend. 

While reactions to her choreography have been mixed, with some netizens criticising it, TikTok users have turned her dance into a meme by synchronising it with slime-making videos.

TikTokers noticed that JoJo's energetic dance moves, characterised by exaggerated arm and leg movements, perfectly match the steps of making slime. The trend has gained significant popularity, with numerous videos surfacing. One notable video from the toy shop ‘learningexpresssa’ features JoJo performing her GP dance in a “slime workshop.” As she mixes ingredients, adds sparkles, and does tricks with the mixing utensil, her choreography aligns humorously with the slime-making process.

Another TikTok user showcased their version by placing JoJo behind a table filled with slime-making materials, making it appear as if she is combining ingredients with each dance move. TikToker ‘0cookie0’ added a creative twist, showing JoJo making a vanilla cake while performing her GP dance in an arcade. As she pours milk, flour, and cracks an egg, her dance steps match the baking process seamlessly.

The trend has become so popular that one viewer suggested creating a video of JoJo participating in TikTok’s ‘English or Spanish’ trend. This involves users asking if someone speaks English or Spanish and humorously stating that “whoever moves first is gay,” which would be especially amusing with JoJo's dynamic choreography.
