Angel Reese, a standout rookie with the Chicago Sky, garnered unexpected attention when mentioned as the "Rookie of the Year" in a recent hip-hop song by Atlanta rapper Lakeyah.

The lyrical shoutout has sparked considerable interest, particularly amid the competitive season between Reese and Caitlin Clark for the actual Rookie of the Year award. Both players have captivated fans and analysts alike with their stellar performances.

In Lakeyah's latest track, released on social media, she raps, "Rookie of the year, I feel like Angel Reese," highlighting Reese's impressive stats and growing influence in sports and pop culture.

Reese, who averages 13.5 points and 12 rebounds per game, responded on social media with a concise yet impactful statement. She tweeted, "i love me some @lakeyah" along with a kiss emoji, a sentiment that resonated widely within the sports community.

The camaraderie between Reese and Lakeyah is evident, with the rapper previously praising Reese as a "Louisiana freak" and a perfect "10."

While the mention in Lakeyah's song adds a lighthearted touch to Reese's season, it also underscores the intense competition between Reese and Clark.
