Golf: Westwood replaces Els for China
Lee Westwood has replaced Ernie Els in the made-for-television Shui On Land China Golf Challenge in October.
SHANGHAI:
World number two Lee Westwood has replaced Ernie Els in the made-for-television Shui On Land China Golf Challenge in October after the South African withdrew for personal reasons. The Englishman's participation means the event, held over eight courses in six Chinese cities, will showcase two of the world's top-four players after Rory McIlroy moved to fourth in the official world golf rankings on Sunday. Westwood, who has already won two titles in Asia this year, joins McIlroy, Ryder Cup teammate Ian Poulter and Chinese number one Liang Wenchong for the tournament.
