Thomas Matthew Crooks, the shooter who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, is featured in a video obtained by TMZ.

The clip, provided by a former friend, shows Crooks jokingly claiming he has a "10-inch pen*s" and that he is a 6'4" Stanford student. In reality, Crooks was a 10th grader at the time, attending Steel Center Career and Technical Education in Jefferson Hills, PA. The video, shot in February 2020, captures Crooks making videos with classmates in a computer tech class.

According to the former classmate, Crooks was initially quiet but eventually became friendly and well-liked. He was described as a computer tech savant, able to disassemble and reassemble computers with ease. Crooks also enjoyed playing video games, particularly first-person shooters like "Fortnite" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege."

The classmate noted that Crooks never discussed politics or guns in class, making the news of his assassination attempt surprising. Crooks used an AR-15 style rifle from 130 yards away, injuring Trump, killing one person, and wounding two others before Secret Service snipers killed him. Crooks was a registered Republican, and the FBI is investigating his motive.
