KARACHI:

In an unexpected turn of events, rain showers graced various parts of Karachi on Tuesday, bringing much-needed relief to residents. This comes after the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had earlier predicted hot and humid weather for the city for the next three days.

According to details, monsoon clouds unleashed rain in areas including Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel Town, and Malir Model Colony, while the heat remained intense in most parts of the city.

The temperature in Karachi was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, with the real feel being even higher.

The humidity levels in the city are expected to be between 70 to 80 per cent in the morning and 60 to 70 percent in the evening, making the temperature feel higher than it actually is.

Meanwhile, PMD also forecasted that monsoon currents are predicted to penetrate the rest of Sindh from today.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), thunderstorms and rain with occasional heavy falls are expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and Jamshoro districts from today until July 21, with occasional gaps.
