Fans of Stranger Things got their first glimpse into the final season of the popular Netflix series, as production recently reached its midway point.

Netflix shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the beloved sci-fi show, as both viewers and stars prepare to bid farewell to the nostalgic series.

The returning cast includes Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke.

The show made its debut in 2016, and many of the cast members were young children when the series first aired on Netflix.

“So I started when I was 10. I am now turning 20 years old. It feels very weird,” star Millie says as she arrives to the set.

“This is home,' star Gaten says. “You just remember why you're doing it and how much fun you have.”

The nearly minute and a half long trailer begins with one person musing, “We're about halfway through filming and it's exciting. So much going on.”

Joe and Maya on day one of season five filming. Maya holds a clapboard as Joe says, “This is day one!”

“On Stranger Things five!” Maya chimes in.

Following that, Sadie Sink tours the expansive warehouse housing their costumes.

Additionally, viewers get a glimpse of elaborate special effects, including a viscous, blood-like substance enhancing the eerie atmosphere.

Furthermore, viewers witness daring stunts planned for the upcoming season, such as a man being flung through the forest and another tumbling from a tree.

Eleven (Millie) demonstrates her powers, emerging from concealment and dramatically clenching her fist for the camera.

The next season will also feature scenes at Hawkins High School, showing the group walking together through the corridors.
