During the interview, host Hoda Kotb expressed surprise upon discovering Portman's voiceover credit in the show's third season. Portman, with a laugh, responded, "It's the most important one. I was a narrator of a nature documentary that they were watching."

In the episode titled "Whale Watching," Portman lent her voice to narrate a documentary about whales, captivating the attention of Bluey and Bingo, the show's adorable canine siblings.

Portman, a mother of two, emphasized the significance of "Bluey" to her family, stating, "It's a very important show for my family. I was really, really honored to get to be part of it." She further praised the show as "pure joy" and "something we need."
