Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Fazlur Rehman has asserted that transparent and unbiased elections are the only solution to Pakistan's ongoing political crisis.

In a statement on Monday, the JUI chief emphasised the need for the military to disengage from politics, stating, "The country will not emerge from its crisis until the military separates itself from political affairs."

Rehman argued that using force against political entities is not a solution but rather exacerbates political unrest. He called for all institutions to operate within their constitutionally defined boundaries, which he believes is essential for the country to stabilise.

"It is better for powerful circles to realise this reality as soon as possible, for the sake of the country and themselves. Otherwise, the disorder will increase. The establishment must acknowledge that the current hybrid system has failed," he stated. He further highlighted that the resolution to all issues lies in conducting fresh, transparent elections.

Meanwhile, JUI-F's Central spokesperson Aslam Ghauri commented that discussions about banning political parties are inappropriate and serve as a distraction from real issues.

He asserted that imposing bans is not a solution to political problems but rather reflects an authoritarian mindset.
Ghauri noted that such decisions would only deepen political and economic crises. He criticised government ministers for not addressing the real issues facing the public, such as inflation and excessive taxation.

"The flood of taxes and rising prices have made life unbearable for the public. Political issues should be resolved in the political arena, not through the use of force," he added.
