Rapper Tan DaGod shot dead at meet-and-greet event

The female rapper was killed in a shooting incident during a beauty store's grand opening in Oakland, California.

Rapper Tan DaGod was killed in a shooting in Oakland on Saturday afternoon, as confirmed by the Oakland Police Department.

Friends identified the victim and fellow Oakland rapper Mistah F.A.B. posted about her death on Instagram, expressing his grief and noting that he was supposed to be at the location where she was killed.

Footage from the incident showed broken glass and a hole in the back window of a car. Police responded to the shooting in the 4000 block of Telegraph Ave. around 5 p.m. The victim was declared dead at the hospital, and another person was injured but is reported to be in stable condition.

The shooting occurred during the grand opening of Glamor Beauty Supply, where Tan DaGod had been promoting a meet-and-greet event on Instagram. Family and friends gathered outside the beauty store on Sunday to pay tribute to her. Many were in tears as they remembered Tan DaGod as a local female rapper and entrepreneur. The police are still working to identify the shooter, and no arrests have been made as of Sunday evening.
