Olivia Munn expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Shannen Doherty, the beloved actress from "Charmed" and "Beverly Hills, 90210," who died at the age of 53 after a prolonged fight with breast cancer.

In a touching tribute on Instagram, Munn recounted how Doherty's openness about her cancer journey inspired her to reach out for support following her own diagnosis in 2023.

The bond they formed, rooted in their mutual struggles and a desire to support other women facing similar battles, left a profound impact on Munn.

Reflecting on their friendship, Munn shared, "Looking back on the last text she sent me just a couple months ago, she asked how I was doing and if she could do anything for me… True to form, Shannen was offering her support even though she was in the final stage of fighting this horrific disease."

Doherty, diagnosed in March 2015, had been vocal about her treatments and the challenges she faced, including her cancer's brief remission in 2017 and its unfortunate return in 2020.

Munn also opened up about her own recent cancer ordeal, revealing a diagnosis of bilateral breast cancer in May 2023, which led to multiple surgeries, including a double mastectomy.

As she navigates her recovery, Munn's reflection on Doherty's dignity, strength, and grace serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity for those affected by cancer.
