Renowned actor Randeep Hooda has disclosed that contrary to popular belief, Bollywood parties primarily serve as networking events where attendees focus on making professional connections and exploring career opportunities rather than simply "enjoying themselves."
According to Indian media, many actors have previously spoken about the importance of Bollywood parties as key networking events where industry professionals, including actors, directors, producers, and cricketers, gather together.
The highway-famed actor recently spoke about these so-called parties during an interview.
The actor said that when he was starting his career, he used to attend these parties, but at the time, he didn't understand their true purpose.
"I thought these were events to have fun, so I would go there intoxicated and end up just pouring my heart out to people instead of making connections," the actor said.
He said that he later realized that these parties are networking events where new connections are made, leading to actors getting new projects.
"The purpose of these parties is to interact with influential people and discuss work, while new actors also use these events to try and connect with the powerful people in the industry," he explained.
Hooda said that he later realized that at these parties, one needs to have a drink in hand, greet people pleasantly, and discuss who is working on what project.
"Bollywood parties are just networking parties because the real parties are the ones you have with your friends where you enjoy yourself," Hooda added.
