Barbie, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Taylor Swift dominate Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2024

The 2024 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards saw a star-studded celebration of fan favorites, with "Barbie," "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," and Taylor Swift emerging as major winners.

The 2024 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards took place on July 14, with SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star hosting the slime-filled extravaganza. "Barbie" took home the Favorite Movie award, with Margot Robbie winning Favorite Movie Actress. "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" was named Favorite Kids TV Show, and its star, Walker Scobell, won Favorite Male TV Star (Kids).

"Young Sheldon" and its star, Iain Armitage, also triumphed, claiming Favorite Family TV Show and Favorite Male TV Star (Family) respectively. Other big winners included "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" (Favorite Animated Movie), "SpongeBob SquarePants" (Favorite Cartoon), and Timothée Chalamet (Favorite Movie Actor for his role in "Wonka").

The music category was dominated by Taylor Swift, who won three awards, including Favorite Female Artist. Travis Kelce took home the Favorite Male Sports Star award, while Post Malone was named Favorite Male Artist. Olivia Rodrigo won Favorite Female TV Star (Kids) for her role in "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series."

The event featured a surprise sliming of presenter Henry Golding during the announcement of Favorite Male Artist, adding to the fun and excitement of the night. Other highlights included a performance by Paul Russell of his hit "Lil Boo Thang," a medley from The Kid LAROI, and an appearance by Kelly Rowland to present Serena Williams with the Legend Gold Blimp award.
