Sharjah loses out on England series

Pakistan to play 3 Tests, 4 ODIs and 3 T20s from January.

Despite hosting two matches in the upcoming Pakistan-Sri Lanka series next month, Sharjah has been overlooked for Pakistan’s next series in the UAE — against England early next year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board, while announcing the tour itinerary for the series that kicks off with the first Test on January 17, has confirmed Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the two venues for all the matches. Pakistan will be ‘hosting’ England for a three-Test series, as well as a One-Day International (ODI) series consisting of four matches starting from February 13. Three Twenty20s will also be played from February 23. Besides the international encounters, the England team that will arrive in the UAE on January 3, will also play two three-day warm-up games, as well as a one-day practice match.
