Harry and Meghan's awkward ESPY Awards appearance

The couple's much-scrutinised ESPY Awards appearance labelled as ‘corporatised and pitchy’.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently attended the ESPY Awards, where Harry accepted an award and delivered a speech that received mixed reviews.

Meghan supported Harry during his speech, but some felt the presentation lacked authenticity. Brittany from Royal News Network remarked, "It felt so corporatised and pitchy. He was more trying to pitch the Invictus Games rather than telling us about it."

Prince Harry emphasised community building, a message that drew scrutiny given his strained family relationships. "He talked about building bridges, but he's not doing that with his own family," Brittany observed.

Despite the criticism, the couple's appearance continued to draw media attention and public interest. The ESPY Awards highlighted the ongoing efforts of Harry and Meghan to maintain their public profiles and promote their initiatives amid various public perceptions.
