Roger Federer, the retired tennis legend, embraced his inner Swiftie by attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Zürich, Switzerland, on July 8. Accompanied by his wife Mirka and their four children, Federer shared his excitement with fans through social media.
After the concert, Federer, 42, posted a selfie with the pop superstar on Instagram, captioning it with, "In my Swiftie era 🦋💜🧣🌃🐍💘🌲🕰️🤍," along with emojis representing Swift and her tour. The photo appeared to be taken backstage, showing Federer with a VIP lanyard and Swift in her glittering blue bodysuit from the Midnights era segment of the concert.
Fan reactions to Federer's post were enthusiastic. One fan commented, "You forgot two emojis, 🐐🐐!" Another added, "eras tour (roger’s version)." A third fan expressed their admiration, saying, "Two of my most fave performers — On court and on stage! 🎾🎤🥰."
Federer and his family were seen enjoying the concert, with an Eras Tour fan account on X (formerly Twitter) sharing photos of the couple smiling in the crowd. Federer also displayed his friendship bracelet collection on Instagram Stories, featuring titles of Swift’s songs like “Anti-Hero,” “Champagne Problems,” and “Wildest Dreams.”
Last month, Federer mentioned to PEOPLE that attending Swift's concert was a goal for the summer of 2024. He shared his family's love for concerts, recalling his stage appearance with Coldplay during their Zürich show in July 2023. "I didn't sing, I just played a little shaker thing," Federer said with a laugh. "But we also saw [Bruce] Springsteen twice, and Elton John. This summer Taylor Swift is coming to Switzerland so of course we'll go to that, and ACDC too."
