Man shot dead allegedly by father-in-law

A man was killed and a passerby woman injured in a shooting near Cattle Colony Mor in Shah Latif Town on Friday. The deceased, identified as Malik Sardar Abbas, 45, and the injured woman named Sakina, 35, wife of Muhammad Javed, were shifted to JPMC.

As per Malik Saleem, SHO Shah Latif Town police station, preliminary investigations suggest that Malik Sardar Abbas was allegedly killed by his father-in-law, Basharat, along with an accomplice.

Abbas, who hailed from Jhand tehsil of Attock district, had killed his wife’s brother six months ago, and was on bail.
