Patrick and Brittany Mahomes expecting third child: 'Round three, here we come'
Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, co-owner of the Kansas City Current, have announced that they are expecting their third child together
The couple shared the exciting news via an Instagram Reel on July 12, showcasing an adorable family photo shoot featuring their daughter, Sterling Skye, 3, and son, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, 18 months. The video, capturing the family's joy as they danced and displayed sonograms, was captioned, "Round three, here we come 🤍."
The couple, both 28, have been together since their teenage years. Patrick, a sophomore, and Brittany, a junior, started dating while attending Whitehouse High School in Texas. Reflecting on their early relationship in an interview, Patrick described himself as "just a normal teenage kid showing up at the family dinner type stuff and being nervous and everything."
In September 2020, after winning his Super Bowl ring, Patrick proposed to Brittany in front of a floral wall with a neon sign that read "Will You Marry Me?" Shortly after, they announced they were expecting their first child. Sterling Skye was born in February 2021.
The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Maui, Hawaii, on March 12, 2022, after a decade of dating. Later that year, they revealed they were expecting their second child, Bronze, who was born in November 2022.
Patrick has often praised Brittany for her role as a mother and a wife. During a May appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, he commended her for managing the day-to-day responsibilities and allowing him to focus on football
"Just being a hall of fame mom and a hall of fame wife," he said. "It makes things a lot easier ... when you get to come home and your best friend is there. You can just hang out. It makes you want to be there all the time and so, she pushes me to be great. She's done a lot of great things herself."
The Mahomes family continues to grow, and fans eagerly await the arrival of their newest member.
