A magnitude 6.4 earthquake hit Vancouver Island in Canada on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake struck 209 kilometers (129 miles) southwest of Tofino, a coastal town in British Columbia, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
No immediate reports of casualties or major damage were reported.
Authorities said there is no threat of a tsunami from the tremor.
