Sexyy Red refutes claims of tour cancellation due to low sales
Sexyy Red is clarifying the truth about the sales for her upcoming tour.
The "Get It Sexyy" rapper, 26, swiftly dismissed rumors of having to cancel her newly announced tour due to a report from Touring Data suggesting low ticket sales.
“My fans are buying tickets we’re doin just fine,” she wrote in an X (formerly Twitter) post on Monday, July 8, in response to another page speculating about her tour being “on the verge” of cancellation.
“We not cancelling no tour,” the "Pound Town" artist added, “dis cancelling sht all cap🧢🧢.”
As of July 3, Touring Data reported that 37.11% of tickets for the 24-date Sexyy Red 4 President tour had been sold, with 85,217 tickets still available. Despite this, the St. Louis native has refuted claims that these figures indicate she will cancel her tour.
“Dis how Dey try to do u wen u go wit an independent promoter n the bigger companies try to sabotage u,” Sexyy explained in another X post, referring to her tour promoter, AG Entertainment, “we not cancelling sht.”
The rap star wrapped up her posts by accusing social media pages of "spreading fake news" about her tour, stating, “I did my touring deal with a black promoter black owned company AG Entertainment and now Dey playin dirty paying pages spreading fake news to discourage my fans from buying tickets.”
On June 25, Sexyy announced her North American headlining tour, which will feature special guests Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, and fellow St. Louis rapper and collaborator BlakeIANA.
