Fans are hating Katy Perry's new music: “Dr. Luke, do you have no shame?”

Katy Perry's latest music video hasn't even been released yet, but fans are already up in arms over the teaser.

On Tuesday, July 9th, the 39-year-old pop icon shared a preview of the "Woman's World" music video on Instagram, igniting backlash reminiscent of the criticism Perry faced when she initially revealed the single—a song promoted as a celebration of female empowerment—last month.

The singer behind "I Kissed a Girl" teamed up with Lukasz Gottwald (also known as "Dr. Luke") for the song, but the music producer's past accusations of rape and emotional abuse by Kesha have overshadowed what was intended to be an anthem of female empowerment. 

Following Perry's initial announcement of the song, X (formerly Twitter) became a platform where voices expressing disappointment and anger came together.

One person questioned, "Explain to me how you came to the conclusion that a song called 'woman's world' should be produced by a rapist."

Another person asked,  "dr luke, do you have no shame? 🤢” 

Now, following the preview of the upcoming "Woman's World" music video, Perry is encountering increased criticism.

In her caption "BABY WE AIN'T GOING AWAY!", Perry channels a contemporary Rosie the Riveter. She wears a denim ensemble echoing the iconic feminist symbol, including a bandana, exuding confidence. 

Seen sipping from a bottle labeled "Whisky for Women" and wielding a bedazzled hammer in the clip, Perry asserts, "It's a woman's world and you're lucky to be living in it."

Once more, critics used the internet to express their views, pointing out the irony of the empowerment theme amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Dr. Luke's involvement.
