Bobby Flay focused on golf and career after split, calls daughter "Best Recipe Ever"
Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is enjoying the single life and embracing his busy schedule after his recent split from girlfriend Christina Pérez. During the practice rounds for the American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Flay told PEOPLE he's "just relaxed right now" and looking forward to the tournament.
Flay, a third-time competitor in the celebrity golf tournament, finds the event both nerve-wracking and enjoyable. He relishes the opportunity to play golf in the beautiful Lake Tahoe setting and spend time with fellow celebrities like Miles Teller and Colin Jost.
In addition to golf, Flay is juggling his Food Network shows, "BBQ Brawl" and "Bobby's Triple Threat," which recently premiered back-to-back. He's also looking forward to attending the Olympics in Paris with his daughter Sophie, whom he describes as his "best recipe ever."
Flay is immensely proud of his daughter, praising her work ethic, kindness, and ability to bring people together. He sees her as a "father's dream" and feels blessed to have her in his life.
In addition to his busy summer, Flay is set to release his first coffee table book, "Chapter One," in the fall. The book will feature a retrospective of 100 of his best and favorite dishes from his career, retooled for modern times.
